    Within the framework of the Cultural Cooperation between Myanmar and Israel, the Israeli Embassy in Yangon held the First Israeli Film Festival in Nay Pyi Taw Cinema Hall from 24th to 27th of November 2013.

    The Opening of the Film Festival on 24th November 2013 at Nay Pyi Taw Cinema Hall was honored by the presence of H.E. U Myint Swe, Chief Minister of Yangon Region Government and madam. 
     
    In his opening remarks, H.E. Ambassador of Israel, Mr. Hagay Moshe Behar mentioned..“The Israeli Film Industry has accomplished remarkable achievements in the last years including winning distinguished awards in numerous international competitions…".
     
    Chief Minister U Myint Swe & Madam together with Ministers from Yangon Region Government, heads of diplomatic missions and UN agencies, invited guests and their families then enjoyed the Opening Film “Aviva My Love”. On the opening day, the audience also enjoyed free Israeli snacks sponsored by the Israeli company “Brand for You”. Moreover, three lucky winners were also chosen from the audience and given Gift Baskets of snacks.
     
    Six Israeli Films ,” Aviva My Love”, “Desperado Square” , “Operation Thunderbolt” , “By Summer’s End”, “Footnote” and  “The Syrian Bridewere screened during the film festival and more than 1200 people participated it.
