Israel is internationally recognized for its innovations in managing scarce water resources, and widely regarded as a nexus of world-class expertise in the water field. WATEC exhibition is the largest and most important water, energy & environment industry event in Israel as well as a show case for the most advanced technologies and solutions around the world and emphasises technologies that can serve as the key to a much more efficient exploitation of Natural resources (Water, Soil, Energy & materials).
The visit program for H.E. Chief Ministers had been coordinated by the Israeli embassy in Yangon, MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israel), Trade and Economic Mission and the Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute (IEICI).
During their visit in the exhibition, they joined numerous meetings and functions with a large number of Israeli companies, including a lunch hosted by H.E. Naftali Bennet, Minister of Economy and H.E Silvan Shalom, Minister for Regional Development, Energy and Water Resources.
This visit of the two Chief Ministers, takes place during the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the State of Israel and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and is the first high-ranking official visit from Myanmar to Israel in 20 years.
