The Department of Economics anad Trade promotes trade and investment between New Zealand and Israel.
The department also acts as a clearinghouse for information on trade, arranging promotional activities and working with visiting delegations to and from Israel.
Ambassador Shemi Tzur has said that the "Embassy of Israel was committed to enhancing trade and investment activity between the countries, and to helping New Zealand expand its economic footprint in the Middle East".
