Please note that New Zealand citizens traveling to Israel as tourists do not require a visa. Forms are provided on arrival to Israel, and a 3-month tourist visa is issued. Only those traveling to Israel on official business (such as work, study, etc.) require a visa.
Extending Your Stay:
Visas may be extended (for a nominal fee) at offices of the Ministry of Interior.
If you are a passport holder of one of the following countries you do not require a tourist visa to travel to Israel:

Visitor Visa
To issue a Visitor Visa the following is required:
- Your passport needs to be valid for six months beyond the date of your departure from Israel.
- 1 updated passport photo (5x5cm - colour).
- A bank statement as proof of financial self-support during your stay in Israel.
Flight itinerary showing arrival and departure dates to/from Israel and proof of purchase.
Proof of medical insurance for the period of time you plan to stay in Israel.
In the case that you are employed, an official letterhead from your employer, approving the period of vacation is requested.
- A fee of NZ$29.59. To deposit the fee here is the required information for online banking:

- The requested forms, your passport, 1 photo, proof of deposit and a prepaid, self-addressed 'Track and Trace' envelope for the return of your documents.
Please save both of the registered envelope numbers!

Student Visa
To issue a Visitor Visa the following is required:
- Letter confirming acceptance to a recognised University.
- Your passport needs to be valid for six months beyond the date of your departure from Israel.
- 1 updated passport photo (3.5 x 4.5cm - colour).
- A bank statement as proof of financial self-support during your stay in Israel, (including study expenses).
Flight itinerary showing arrival and departure dates to/from Israel and proof of purchase.
Proof of medical insurance (one which covers hospitalization) for the duration of your stay in Israel.
- A fee of NZ$56. To deposit the fee here is the required information for online banking:

Please be advised that a Student Visa is a one year visa with multiple entries. It is issued into the passport and does not permit you to work in Israel.
