ECONOMICS AND TRADE
The Department of Economics and Trade promotes trade and investment between New Zealand and Israel.
The department also acts as a clearinghouse for information on trade, arranging promotional activities and working with visiting delegations to and from Israel.
Former Ambassador Shemi Tzur is quoted saying "Embassy of Israel was committed to enhancing trade and investment activity between the countries, and to helping New Zealand expand its economic footprint in the Middle East".
PUBLIC AFFAIRS
The Department of Public Affairs seeks to share materials that we have available with those wanting to learn about Israel.
We have a number of materials available for distribution, including pamphlets, booklets, videos and DVDs, as well as detailed publications on Israeli life and important events.
Our aim is to bridge the gap between Israel and New Zealand through outreach to educational providers, churches, synagogues, community and youth groups, as well as other organisations interested in learning about all aspects of Israel.
Some of the areas of mutual interest between Israel and New Zealand include culture, society, agriculture, environmental concerns, and current events in the Middle East.
We hope we will be able to provide you with the information and resources you need.
