ECONOMICS AND TRADE
The Department of Economics and Trade promotes trade and investment between New Zealand and Israel.
The department also acts as a clearinghouse for information on trade, arranging promotional activities and working with visiting delegations to and from Israel.
Former Ambassador Shemi Tzur is quoted saying "Embassy of Israel was committed to enhancing trade and investment activity between the countries, and to helping New Zealand expand its economic footprint in the Middle East".
The Department of Public Affairs seeks to share materials that we have available with those wanting to learn about Israel.
We have a number of materials available for distribution, including pamphlets, booklets, videos and DVDs, as well as detailed publications on Israeli life and important events.
Our aim is to bridge the gap between Israel and New Zealand through outreach to educational providers, churches, synagogues, community and youth groups, as well as other organisations interested in learning about all aspects of Israel.
Some of the areas of mutual interest between Israel and New Zealand include culture, society, agriculture, environmental concerns, and current events in the Middle East.
We hope we will be able to provide you with the information and resources you need.
The Department of Cultural Affairs is proud to present Israel’s vibrant culture and lifestyle. Israel is a diverse society, with a culture rooted in a blend of traditions from around the world.
Israel’s energetic and innovative artists specialize in a wide variety of areas from fashion to cuisine, and the performing, visual, literary and cinematic arts. Israeli artists continually push the boundaries of their art forms. They inspire self-reflective and communal examination and spark social change, while expressing the essence of the people and the land of Israel.
We collaborate with numerous cultural and academic institutions to organize a vast array of events, such as concerts, plays, film screenings, exhibitions, literary programs and much more. Through these partnerships, we celebrate Israeli culture, encourage cultural dialogue, and foster a multifaceted understanding of contemporary Israeli society.
The Department of Public Diplomacy is the public face of Diplomacy.
It services to present and explain the Israel's position and policies to the New Zealand public, foster relationships with local supporters of Israel and demonstrate the Israel 'beyond the conflict', in the fields of culture, technology, human diversity, agriculture, tourism and more.
This department utilizes Social Media tools to connect with the Public, (including the Website, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and a weekly email newsletter).
