Gote (Director/Actor Uri Zohar) and Eli (the late actor/singer Arik Einsteen) are two friends who don’t want to age. Gote is a confirmed bachelor, a lifeguard who’s spending his days renting out beach chairs, selling sodas and chasing peeping toms on the Tel-Aviv beach. Eli, married and with a small child, is a pop singer who dreams of building a night club in Altman’s restaurant. Each man is envious of the other, Guta secretly wishing he had a wife, and Eli, wanting the freedom of Guta’s carefree existence. PEEPING TOMS (METZITZIM) has become a cult film in Israel due to its satirical look at Israeli society.
