    Zaq Harrison has worked in the private sector for over twenty years.  Prior to his work in the private sector, ​Zaq worked for several years in a professional capacity for the youth organization Young Judaea developing educational programming then later for many years as a teen mentor and program resource for the B’nai Brith Youth Organization (BBYO).  




    Born and raised in rural America he was an accomplished athlete. Zaq served as an IDF combat soldier in the armored corps during the first Lebanese War, Operation Peace for Galilee.  Later he coached youth baseball and development in Israel and was the manager of the Israeli National Youth Baseball Team in 2006 that took then an unprecedented 3rd place in the European Championships.  

    In 2007 he was the PA announcer for the Professional Israeli Baseball League. Since 2009 Zaq coached Swimming as a Head Coach on club and high school levels and is currently an assistant coach with the Division 1 Swimming and Diving program at Towson University in Towson, MD.  Zaq’s article “Club vs High School” appeared in the American Swimming Coaches Journal (2012). Zaq is one of a handful of accredited Shomer Shabbat coaches working with club, public school or University sports teams in the United States.
