​I am profoundly saddened by the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three American personnel in Benghazi, Libya yesterday. Ambassador Stevens served his country with distinction, and he leaves behind a legacy of commitment to democracy and freedom. On behalf of the government of Israel, I wish to convey my condolences to the bereaved families, and on behalf of the people of Israel, I reaffirm that we stand with the citizens of the United States of America at this tragic moment.
