Israeli Wins World Food Prize

    Dr. Daniel Hillel, an Israeli and U.S. citizen was awarded the 2012 World Food Prize for pioneering work in micro-irrigation and promoting sustainable agricultural development. Dr. Hillel’s pioneering scientific work in Israel revolutionized food production, in over 30 countries around the world over the past 50 years.  His work laid the foundation for maximizing efficient water usage in agriculture, increasing crop yields, and minimizing environmental degradation.
