PLEASE NOTE: Passport to enter South Africa
The Embassy has been informed by the South African Department of Home Affairs that South Africa will no longer accept any "extension stamp" in passports beyond the original expiration date from when the passport was issued. If the passport added an extension period, the traveler will not be permitted to enter South Africa. The expiration date must be currently valid on date of entry and noted on the identity page.
