Wits Hosts Israeli Daniel Zamir Jazz Quartet

On Wednesday, August 28, The University of Witwatersrand hosted the Daniel Zamir Jazz Quartet from Israel.  Playing to a sold out house of over 800, Daniel and his three musical partners treated the audience to a night of musical wonder. His tunes had influences from all over the word, as well as a distinct Israeli feel. Daniel was visibly moved by the experience and spent time afterwards mixing with the South African student concert goers. Wits University music department certainly hosted an evening to be remembered! Video of the Daniel Zamir Quartet performing can be seen here!

Each month we will be highlighting a course and encouraging people to join in order to share Israeli knowledge and experience.

This month’s course is Water Resources for Agricultural and Domestic Use. The course is taking place at the Arava Institute near Eilat between December 2nd and 17th 2013. And all the details are on our website.
