Deputy Ambassador, Ya'akov Finkelstein met last week (20 May) His Majesty, King Goodwill Zwelithini and KwaZulu-Natal's MEC for Health, Dr. S.M. Dhlomo to discuss ways to increase the cooperation between Israel and KZN on a range of fields, mainly agriculture, health and rural development.

A good example of an ongoing successful cooperation between the two parties is "Operation Abraham" –a large scale male circumcision operations that are being held around KZN with the guidance of Israeli doctors.

Both the King and the MEC have been to Israel in the past and expressed their positive impressions from the visit.

The meeting took place alongside a special evening to honour Jerusalem, organized by 'TaMaR', a Jewish Organization in Durban, which was attended by the three dignitaries.
