Students at FIU gathered together for an intimate conversation with Idan Raichel yesterday before his performance in the evening at the Arsht Center. Raichel answered many questions from the students who asked a range of questions about his life and music.
Raichel gave short performances for the FIU students and was happy to answer all the students questions. He said he recieves his inspiration from other people that he meets and is always open to meeting new people who have different musical styles. He also spoke about the importance of playing with people from around the world and learning about different cultures.
Idan Raichel performed at the Arsht Center on Thursday evening for a crowd of over 1,800 people. South Florida residents flocked to the Arsht Center to hear the unique sounds and tunes from the Idan Raichel Project. Their music is unique with sounds from various cultures around the world, singing melodies in Hebrew, French, Spanish, Portugues, Amharic, Zulu, Hindi, and Arabic. It was a sold out show and the Idan Raichel Project gave one memorable experience for South Florida residents.
