The Embassy of Israel in Manila is a gateway and a bridge of friendship between our Nations and Peoples. Our main objective is to explore, identify and cultivate the bilateral relationship to the benefit of our two Nations.

The foundations of our relations were forged during the darkest days in History on the eve of World War II when Philippine President Manuel Quezon extended a welcoming hand to many Jewish refugees who desperately sought shelter from the Holocaust. His nobel actions earned him and the Filipino people a place in our hearts forever.

Moreover, Israel will never forget the vote of the Philippines in the United Nations, on November 29, 1947, on a resolution that led to the establishment of the State of Israel.

''A friend in need is a friend indeed'' and Israel is showing it in so many ways, from humanitarian assistance to development cooperation that saw thousands of Filipinos in training programs in Israel.

We welcome you to share and enjoy our potential to support Philippine development. We are on a mission of friendship. Our doors and hearts are open to any initiative that will contribute to our relations.

Ambassador Effie Ben Matityau
