Mark Paredes is the former press attache at the Consulate General
of Israel in Los Angeles. A native of Michigan, Mark majored in Italian
literature at Brigham Young University. He then served as a Foreign
Service Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv and at the U.S. Consulate
General in Guadalajara, Mexico. In Tel Aviv, he appeared on Israel's
leading talk show, Dan Shilon, and was featured in Israeli publications
Yedioth Aharonoth, Ma'ariv, and L'Isha.
An an American diplomat Mark had a unique insiders perspective on
the Israeli-Palistinian conflict. Following his tour in Tel Aviv,
Mark studied law at the-University of Texas, clerking at leading international
law firms Baker & McKenzie (Dallas) and Dobson & Pinci (Rome,
Italy).
Mark is a dynamic and charismatic speaker with extensive knowledge
about the Middle East region. Mark speaks seven languages fluently
and has lived in Italy (three times), Russia, Mexico, and Israel.
