Sar-El proposes to achieve its goals by encouraging volunteers from around the world to come to Israel for a number of weeks where they will experience one or more of the following:

  • Working in hospitals.
  • Working in I.D.F. warehouses.
  • Guided tours of interesting locations in Israel.
  • Lectures on Jewish and Israeli topics.
  • Shabbat hospitality

The Israel Internship Program - 2-6 months, geared to those who are looking to experience daily life in Israel, while building their resume and their connection to Israel. Interns have been placed in the Knesset, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and at the Jerusalem Post, to name just a few.

Marva - 2 month program whose activities range from navigation and topography to hikes, lectures, and participation in training exercises and living in field conditions. This program has a strong international flavor. Working knowledge of Hebrew necessary.

WUJS - 7-month program geared to college graduates. Includes intensive Hebrew language study, as well as a range of courses in Jewish history, Judaism, Modern Israel, the Middle East, and Jewish Literature. Program includes extensive hiking, mobile seminars, a 3-week volunteer experience, and even job placement assistance in Israel.

Project OTZMA - 10-month program for North American college students and graduates to develop as Jewish community leaders. Program is divided into 5 tracks: absorption, community service, elective, kibbutz or youth village, and optional independent track.
