American Jewish Committee
The American Jewish Committee was established in 1906 by a small group of American Jews deeply concerned about pogroms aimed at the Jewish population of Russia. The group determined that the best way to protect Jews in Russia and other countries would be to work towards a world in which all peoples are accorded respect and dignity.

ARMDI - American Red Magen David For Israel
ARMDI, organized in 1940, is the exclusive fundraising organization in the United States for Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel’s equivalent to a Red Cross Society. ARMDI supports the MDA National Emergency Medical, Ambulance, Blood and Disaster Services which benefit Israel’s entire population.

The Development Corporation for Israel/State of Israel Bonds began operations in 1951. The corporation was established to implement Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion’s decision to float a bond issue to bolster Israel’s fledgling economy. First year sales totaled $52.6 million.
