Yaron Gamburg

Yaron
Gamburg assumed the position of Deputy Consul
General of Israel
in Los Angeles
as of June 2005.
Prior
to arriving in Los Angeles,
Mr. Gamburg was Director of the Cadet Course of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. In this capacity, he was responsible for coordinating the training
program of young diplomats for the Israeli Foreign Service.
Mr.
Gamburg also served in the Economics Department of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign
Affairs where he was responsible for relations between the Ministry and the
World Trade Organization, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Between 2000 to 2003, Mr. Gamburg served as spokesperson for the Embassy of
the State of Israel in Moscow.
Prior to this position, he worked in the Information and Public Affairs
Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before joining the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, Mr. Gamburg worked in the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption
where he was responsible for diverse educational projects for students
immigrating to Israel.
For his military service, Mr. Gamburg served in the Investigation department
of the Military Police.
Mr.
Gamburg was born in 1972, in Zhitomir, Ukraine, and immigrated to Israel in 1990. He received his
Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science and Master's degree in
Political Science from Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Consul General Gamburg is married
and he has two children.
