SME and Agriculture:
Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) and Agricultural Development Bank Limited (ADBL) signed A Memorandum of Understatnding to enhance institutional efficiency and human resource development of ADBL. The cooperation is targeted to render banking services to rural small and medium-scale entrepreneurs to reduce the incidence of poverty, provide rural and modern banking services and ensure the financial viability and sustainability of ADBL.
Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) in the field of Water Management (Irrigation and Drinking Water System) on 26 February 2010. It is intended to encourage the open exchange of information and ideas that enhance capacity building program objectives and strengthen institutional capabilities; promote an exchange of relevant technical resources and assist to enhance impact and sustainability through capacity building and training activities; and dispatch experts to identify areas of collaboration.
The Government of the State of Israel and the Government of Nepal on 17 March 2010 signed an Agreement on Cooperation. The cooperation is to contribute to the achievement of national and institutional goals of agricultural development, promote exchange of technical and scientific knowledge for the benefit of the agricultural sectors in both countries, as well as the exchange, of data and experience on agricultural policies and their implementation and encourage cooperation between the respective associations, organizations and private sector of both countries.
The Israel’s National Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV), the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Save the Children (SC) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) in the field of Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) on 10 December 2010. It aims to encourage the open exchange of information and ideas that further contributes to capacity development for program designing and implementation; and exchange relevant technical resources and assistance to enhance impact and sustainability through capacity development and training activities.
Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) and Dhulikhel Hospital Kathmandu University Hospital (DHKUH) - Nepal signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Capacity Development in the field of Public Health and Community Services on 26 January 2012. This three-year agreement between MASHAV and DHKUH is a basis for further strengthening the cooperation in the field of health and community services. It aims to organize an appropriate capacity building package of short and medium term trainings/workshops in Nepal with the help of expert resource persons from Israel in the form of on the spot training/workshop for trainers and health professionals of DHKUH and other health professionals of Nepal in various health and community services. These packages are meant to bring positive improvements, knowledge and skills, which will result in quality service delivery, innovative public health interventions and rational community services.
