I am honoured and proud to serve as the 18th Ambassador of Israel to Nepal and to follow up on the good work of my predecessors.
Nepal and Israel established diplomatic relations 55 years ago and since then both are enjoying friendly and productive bilateral relations in many fields. These include exchange of knowledge and training between: agricultural institutions, medical facilities, colleges and universities as well as MASHAV and other training programs. Nepal is one of the most attractive destinations for Israeli tourists who enjoy a warm hospitality here. Nepalese are also warmly welcomed in Israel. As a result, our two peoples have developed awareness and understanding for each other which is contributing to the strong bond between the two nations.
Israel and Nepal are countries with very rich heritages, and have unique cultural assets and traditions. While embracing modernity, our counties preserve values such as democracy, pluralism and tolerance. Nepal hosts the highest point on earth and Israel the lowest one and in between these two ends, a lot can be done. I encourage the visitors to the Embassy website to take an active role in those relations and also to share their views in our Embassy Facebook Page, 'Israel in Nepal.'
