The Office of Political Affairs is the liaison between the Consulate General of Israel to the Southwest United States and all local, state, and federal government offices in the five-state region.
The Consulate is an official representative of Israeli government and not a lobbying body.
Since Israel is such a close ally of the United States, the maintenance and development of a positive working relationships with elected officials at all levels of government is a key component of our diplomatic mission. We communicate the Israeli government’s official policy and serve as a resource for elected officials and their staff for information and communication.
The responsibilities of the Office also include the monitoring and analysis of the political climate in our region, as well as pertinent legislation at the local, state and federal levels.
