The Technion, known
as "Israel's MIT", is the country's most advanced technological university.
Founded in 1925 by notable scientists including Albert Einstein, the
Technion has secured its high international regard with work on
infrastructure, land irrigation, and advanced electronics. Today, over
11,000 students and 1000 faculty members carry out vital scientific
research at state of the art facilities as they secure Israel's
technological future at the school's Mt. Carmel campus.
Since its inception, the Technion has graduated some 37,000 scientists,
physicians, architects, and engineers. Established centers of research
such as the Whizin Biotechnology Center and the Neaman Institute for
Advanced Studies in Science and Technology have helped to revive Israel
while helping her to build commercial and strategic bridges with
countries throughout the world.
