Tel Aviv University (TAU),
situated in Israel's cultural and financial
center, provides training to more than 26,000 students in areas ranging
from health systems management to the fine arts. Founded in 1956, TAU
integrates coursework with the city's exciting social setting to provide
an all-encompassing university experience to its student body.
Far-reaching parts of the University such as the
Sackler Medical
School,
affiliated with 15 hospitals nationally, demonstrate the University's
commitment to strengthening Israel's professional ranks.
Students at TAU utilize internationally recognized facilities, such as
the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies and the Jaffe Center for
Strategic Studies, for instruction in political science
and international affairs. The University is home to Israel's first
super-computer and current research concentrates on such areas as
electronic devices, systems engineering, computer science, and ecology.
