Donate Israeli seeds to developing countries
Israel is developing very quickly in the field of sustainable innovations. At the Floriade, you can, for example, see how Israel produces healthier vegetable varieties with the aid of the latest technologies. Visitors can design their own vegetable or fruit with a computer game. For each design, Israel donates a hundred seeds to a developing country, in order to counter poverty and hunger.
Flowers, Mother’s Day & Israel
As always, many mothers will be surprised on Mother’s Day with flowers. The Netherlands is number 3 on the export list of Israel. The Netherlands imports 1 billion flowers yearly from Israel.
From June 16th to June 22nd 2012, Israel will celebrate its National Week at the Floriade. During the entire week, typical Israeli performances will take place by ‘Shofar in the Desert’ and the ‘Bible Show’.
The Floriade Park covers 66 hectares and encompasses 5 unique themed worlds separated by wooded areas. Each world has its own decor, program and activities. Worlds in which you'll see, feel and experience nature in a totally different way each time.
