ARMY ISSUES
Anyone entering Israel needs a passport valid at least six months
from the intended date of entering Israel.
Following is the list of countries whose citizens do not
need a visa in addition to a passport to enter Israel as tourist -
Citizens of any country not listed above must apply for a tourist
visa.
The request for visa should be done personally,
and can't be sent by mail.
Requirements for a Tourist Visa:
- Passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from date
of intended visit)
- Either Itinerary or roundtrip ticket.
- One completed application form (see below)
- Two photographs
- $17.00 (Non-refundable administrative processing fee)
- $9.00 mailing charges (processing time by mail approximately
10 days)
- Valid re-entry visa to the United States or photocopy of permanent
residency (Green card)
- Letter from Employer.
- Reservation details of hotels OR address where you will stay
in Israel.
- Health insurance.
- The Original and a photocopy of the above is needed.
Kindly note above consular fees are to be made in cash or money
order only. Personal checks will not be accepted.
Requirements for a Student Visa:
- Completed application form (see below).
- photographs
- Original letter of acceptance from university
- Fee of $25.00
- $9.00 mailing charges
- Onward and return ticket.
- Statement from your bank showing that you have funds to support
your stay in Israel while you are a student
- The original passport which must be valid beyond one year
from the date of arrival
Kindly note above consular fees are to be made in cash or money
order only. Personal checks will not be accepted.
Requirments for an official visa
- Two passport size photographs.
- Letter from your agency.
- Fully completed application.
- Valid passport.
- Copy of the page of each passport (the page showing the photograph
and applicant's details).

Passports
Consular services for minors under the age of 18 can be given
only after both parents give their approval personally in the Embassy.
Application for New Passport
Use this application to apply for a passport if:
- You have never before had an Israeli passport.
- Your last passport was issued 10 years ago.
Fill out the application and send it to your local
Consulate General of Israel, and enclose:
- 3 color passport style photographs (2" x 2", facing front)
- FEES - $50 by MONEY ORDER for each passport requested for an
Israeli citizen from the age of 17. For citizens under 17 of age,
the fee is $17 by MONEY ORDER ONLY. $9 for return mailing charges.
PERSONAL CHECKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
- Your old passport (if you have), which will be returned to you.

Application for Passport Renewal
Use this application to apply for a passport if your last passport
was issued less than 10 years ago.
Fill out the application and send it to your local
Consulate General of Israel, and enclose:
- Your old passport.
- Send it registered mail, with a MONEY ORDER (NO CHECKS)
$9.00 the charge is for return mail. Renewal is free of charge.
- Be sure to include your address and phone number.
- A passport can be renewed until 10 years after the first issue.

Israeli citizens who were born in America, or who moved to America
before the age of 16 (with their parents) can postpond their service
in the army as long as they live out of Israel. To settle the army
status, please follow the directions below:
- PRINT and Fill out completely the two forms below.
- Bring them in person to the embassy (Mon-Fri between 9:30
AM and 1:00 PM).
- Come with:
- Your Israeli and American passports (if you have them)
valid from the age of 16.
- Your parents Israeli and American passports.
- A letter from your school addressed to the Embassy of Israel
(with our address) confirming you have learned there as a
full-time student since the age of 16.
NOTE: It is important you secure this exemption
before you turn 17 1/2, regardless of your travel plans to Israel.
