Last Thursday the bi-annual water technology conference and exhibition, WATEC, ended. Among the many international attendees and participants from the US, Europe, Asia and Africa, head of states, leading executives and world renowned researchers, the Midwest presence was prominent.
Illinois had its own pavilion on the exhibition floor with 5 companies. The Mayor of Akron, OH, Donald L. Plusquellic, opened the Summary Plenary Session. Midland MI based DOW Chemicals featured two speakers. Kasnas, Cincinnati, Dayton and other communities had groups of the ground. And much more. Everyone came to Israel to discuss global trends and challenges, see Israeli innovation and generate mutually beneficial opportunities.
This was the week of water in Israel. The conference was vivid, business meetings were taking place all over and groups where traveling all over Israel for off-site visits at desalination plants, water utilities, treatment sites and company premises.
