    ​The mission of the Department of Cultural Affairs is to bring Israeli culture and art to the Midwest. The office works with cultural and educational organizations in 11 states to share multidisciplinary arts programs with multicultural audiences. The office promotes Israeli artists throughout the Midwest to communicate Israel's tremendous diversity and strengthen cultural ties with local communities.

    ​The office's programs encompass the rich areas of dance, music, literature, film, theatre and visual arts. The department serves as a liaison for numerous organizations, communities, universities, museums, festival organizers and special interest groups, and facilitates programs to increase cultural awareness and exchanges between the region and the State of Israel. The department schedules and coordinates numerous events throughout the year, including performances, exhibits, dramatic productions, film festivals and concerts.
