Academic Affairs Department

Universities, Speakers, Visiting Scholars, Internships

This department maintains contact with the collegiate institutions throughout New England, organizes the Speakers’ Bureau, and coordinates visiting scholars’ activities. Professors from Israel’s most distinguished learning institutions visit the United States under the auspices of the Consulate. Contact us to arrange for a speaker for your organization. If you are a student in New England and you would like material on Israel, or help with Israel advocacy on campus, please contact us.

 

Consular Affairs Department

Tourists, Visas, Passports

This department provides all tourist and administrative services including visas, passports, and notarial services. The department is open to the public daily from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

 

Cultural Affairs Department

Performances, Visiting Artists, Ceremonies

The role of this department is to present Israeli culture to New England. We organize local performances of Israeli artists and present Israeli cultural programs. We have organized art exhibits, film screenings, concerts, and master classes by Israeli artists at New England’s finest cultural institutions and universities. Israeli House

Email List, Special Events, Returning Citizens

The Israeli House, sponsored by the Absorption Center, acts to strengthen the relationship between Israel and Israelis who reside in the New England area.  We sponsor and organize cultural events highlighting Israeli holidays, lectures on different Israeli topics and social and cultural activities for adults and children. We also help Israelis residing in New England return to Israel by providing them with the necessary information to assist with this significant step in their lives.

Media Inquiries, Internships

This department arranges interviews with our diplomats and facilitates coverage of our programs and events. We also handle media inquiries and information regarding monitoring and Israel advocacy in the media. Contact us to find out more about our internships.

 

Political Affairs Department

Local Politicians, Meetings

This department focuses on political relations in the New England area. We arrange meetings between our diplomats and local politicians, and research how current events affect Consulate relations.

 

Department of Public Diplomacy

Information Requests, Videos and Publications, Email Updates, Website, Internships

This department sends out regular email updates in English which highlight recent events in Israel. We are a one-stop resource for information about Israel, from culture to current events. We have videos for loan, brochures, maps, posters, CD-Roms and more, all free of charge. A catalogue of available resources can be found on our website. Internships are offered for the fall, spring and summer semesters.
