  • Volunteer at The Greater Boston Food Bank

BIG - Boston Israel Group and The Israeli House is participating in The Network's Summer of Service. Join us as we give back to our community by volunteering at the Greater Boston Food Bank!
After training in food safety, we'll inspect, sort, label, and pack donated groceries for distribution to hunger relief agencies.  Some volunteers may need to lift a box of about 30 pounds.  Closed-toed shoes are required, loose clothing and items like jewelry are prohibited, and long hair must be tied back or worn under a hat.  Wear clothes that you wouldn't mind getting dirty.  Parking is available on site, but carpooling is encouraged.  Lockers are available for storing personal items during volunteering.
Lastly, donations are encouraged! Feel free to bring donations of non-perishable foods with you!
For additional ways to give back this summer, see the full list exciting opportunities in The Network's Summer of Service!
We welcome young adults between the ages of 23-35.
