One of the most Israel’s most popular musical artists, David Broza combines soulful lyrics with virtuosic guitar playing that ranges from flamenco flavored rhythmic and percussion techniques to whirlwind finger picking to pulsating rock and roll. Often compared to Bruce Springsteen, Broza is renowned for transforming poetry into dynamic contemporary music and for his live performances, which blend storytelling, humor, and songs in English, Hebrew, and Spanish. Broza has released more than 25 albums in his career, most recently Night Dawn and Third Language. He was also the subject of a PBS documentary, “David Broza at Masada,” where he performed with Jackson Brown and Shawn Colvin. Broza is also well known for his commitment to humanitarian causes, including the peaceful settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
