    In this touching, eco-friendly story for children and adults alike, Igor, 11, is deeply upset by the absence in his life of his ornithologist father, and by his divorced mother’s decision to emigrate with him from Russia to Israel. His new school is an alienating place; but he takes solace in tracking a migration of cranes from Eastern Europe to the Middle East, including a special crane from Russia he has named Karl. Screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. Recommended for ages 11 and up.
