    Massachusetts-Israel Innovation Partnership Mission 2014

The Israeli Consulate to New England welcomes Governor Patrick’s tireless and successful efforts to generate the upcoming innovation mission to Israel, beginning May 27. We are confident the trip will both create new ties with Massachusetts and reinforce existing ones, and appreciate his leadership and friendship in this context.

“In the long run, fostering bilateral ties in areas such as life sciences, healthcare and water technologies will benefit not only the people of the Commonwealth and Israel but many, many others as well,” said Yehuda Yaakov, Israel’s Consul General, who will be a member of the delegation. “This mission is also expected to contribute to strengthening cyber security cooperation, particularly in view of the high level of interest in the issue here and Israel’s unique expertise in this field.”

The mission also takes place against the background of longtime efforts on the part of the Governor's office and the Consulate to promote direct flights between Boston and Tel Aviv.  A key component to making this goal a reality is promoting increased business activity between Israel and New England, and another successful mission should enhance that effort.
