Nir Ben - Moshe - Minister Counselor
Nir Ben - Moshe is Minister Counselor at the Embassy of Israel in Washington
D.C Nir - Ben Moshe has been appointed as the new Defense Assistance and Cooperation Office representative in Washington. His primary areas of responsibilities include US-Israel defense cooperation, promoting defense industries collaboration, homeland and national security. Ben - Moshe maintains active ties with key officials in the branches of government, defense industries, and the private sector. Ben - Moshe, 37, has served in Israel's MoD for 12 years. In his most recent position, as the assistant to the MoD's Director General, he worked at the hub of one of Israel's largest, most active and most important ministries. He was a frequent participant in high level meetings with Israel's government and defense industries' officials, and with senior defense partners from abroad. He was also personally involved in some of Israel's major defense enterprises including the preparations in Israel for the war in Iraq, the construction of Israel's defensive fence, the MoD's annual work plan, the ministerial coordination with other ministries and the regular contacts with Israel's Defense Forces. Prior to his 3 years term at the Director General's office, Ben Moshe was in charge of international contacts and cooperation in the MoD's Directorate of Security. In this capacity Ben Moshe was responsible for information security agreements as well as for coordination and correspondence of security matters with foreign defense establishments. Ben - Moshe studied in the Hebrew and Tel Aviv universities. He received
his Bachelor's and Master's degree in International Relations and Security
Studies. He is married to Tamar and father of three children (Shir 6,
Shaked 6, Shani 1).
