Major-General Moshe Evry Sukenik - Defense and Armed Forces Attaché
Major General Moshe Evry Sukenik was born in 1949
in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
He joined the Israel Defense Forces ( IDF) in 1967
and was inducted into the armored Corps. He has
held various positions within the Corps including
battalion, brigade, division and corps Commands.
Major General Moshe Evry Sukenik participated in
the following wars of Israel - The" war of Attrition"
(Platoon Commander), "Yom Kippur War" ( Company
Commander) during which he received the Medal of
Gallantry for fulfilling his duties in battle while
risking himself. During the " Peace for Galilee " War
the General served as a battalion Commander.
His previous assignment was the Chief of the
Ground Forces.
Major General Moshe Evry Sukenik assumed his
duties as the IDF's Defense and Armed forces
attach? in Washington DC on Aug. 17, 2001.
Major General Evry Sukenik has a Bachelors Degree
in History from the University of Tel-Aviv, a
Master Degree in Political Sciences from the
University of Haifa and also attended the IDF's
Command and Staff College.
Major General Evry Sukenik is married and has
