Haim Regev- Counselor
for Congressional Affairs
Mr. Regev currently serves as Counselor for Congressional
Affairs at the Embassy of Israel in Washington D.C.
Mr. Regev was born in Israel in 1967. During his service in
the Israel Defense Forces, he was a commander of a company,
where he achieved the rank of Captain. Following his
military service, he received a B.A. in Political Science
and Middle Eastern studies from the Tel Aviv University. Mr.
Regev continued his education, where he received his MBA in
2004, from the same institution.
Mr. Regev joined Israel's Foreign Service in 1994. Upon
completion of the Cadet Course, he served at the Foreign
Ministry's Middle Eastern division in Israel. He also served
as Deputy Chief of Mission in the Israeli Trade
Representation office in Muscat, The Sultanate of Oman, from
1996 to 1998, and as Deputy Consul General to Florida and
Puerto Rico from 1998 to 2001.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Regev served as a
Counselor in the Department for Middle East Economic Affairs
in Jerusalem, and was responsible for the economic relations
between Israel, the Arab countries, and the Palestinian
Authority.
Mr. Regev is married to Sharon and has two children, Itamar
and Yuval.
