The Consulate's Community Outreach Department works to enhance Israel's relationship with minority communities within the Southeast. Within this scope the Consulate explores paths of collaboration with African American, Latino and Asian organizations. 

In November of 2012 the Consulate formed the African American-Israel Partnership (AAIP).  The AAIP seeks to expand on the historical bond between Jews and African Americans dating from the Civil Rights Movement by furthering the relationship between African-Americans and Israel.
