Resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through political means.

During Operation Defense Shield Israel exercised the essential right of every country, every democracy, to protect the life and security of its citizens. Eradicating Palestinian terrorism was also a prerequisite step in the pursuit of a political solution to the century-long conflict between Palestinians and Israelis. Prime Minister Sharon in his address to the AIPAC Policy Conference outlined a three phase political process to address this conflict.
