Embassy of Israel Holds Fifth Annual Israel Solidarity Event

The Embassy of Israel hosted the Fifth Annual Israel Solidarity Event Friday morning (6/9). Ambassador Daniel Ayalon and Mrs. Anne Ayalon welcomed Evangelical Christian leaders from across the country to honor and thank them strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship.

In his remarks, Ambassador Ayalon expressed appreciation to the American Christian community for its steadfast support of Israel and friendship with the Jewish people. Ayalon said, "When we look into the future there are still great dangers.but we will defend ourselves against all evil.and we are able to do this because of the help of our greatest friend and ally, the United States."

Other notable speakers included: Gary Bauer, President of American Values, Pastor Ted Haggard founder and pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado and head of the National Association of Evangelicals, Pastor Glenn Plummer, Chairman and CEO of the Fellowship of Israel and Black America and former President of the National Religious Broadcasters Association, and Pastor John Hagee, founder and pastor of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas and National Chairman of Christians United for Israel.
