A new page on Terrorism - The Rocket Attack in Sderot, 28 June 2004

  1. Yesterday, terrorists again attacked Sderot, a town in the south of Israel.

  2. One of the rockets hit near a nursery school. Two people were killed, one of them a four-year-old boy on his way to nursery school. His mother was critically wounded, and about 10 others were wounded as well.

  3. Terrorists shoot at Israeli communities almost daily. The terrorist organizations are attempting to turn the Gaza Strip into a base from which they can shell population centers deep inside Israel, killing and terrifying the people.

  4. Terrorism in the form of rockets, just like any other form of terrorism, is part of the ongoing Palestinian efforts to sabotage any political initiative for calming the area.

  5. As long as the Palestinian Authority fails to fulfill its commitments under the Road Map to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure, Israel will continue to fulfill its obligation to protect its citizens by fighting terrorism.
