Shaping the future character of the State of Israel

Prime Minister Sharon has introduced a two-pronged plan to shape the future character of the State of Israel by recruiting the talent and the energy of young people. One effort is directed toward creating a national service institute that will focus on enhancing community services. The other effort is directed at encouraging Jewish young men and women to give at least one year in the service of their people, to experience life in Israel.
