IDF Discovers Major Explosives Laboratory In Balata

An IDF force this afternoon (Sunday), June 2, 2002, during a sweep
of the Balata refugee camp southeast of Nablus, discovered a major
explosives laboratory in the home of Mahmoud Titi, a senior Tanzim
terrorist who was killed in a May 22, 2002 IDF action.
Found in the laboratory were, inter alia: 12 gas balloon bombs,
hundreds of pipe bombs, and considerable amounts of explosive materials,
including phosphorous. IDF forces blew up the laboratory.
A wanted terrorist disguised as a woman was arrested by the security
forces during the sweep of the camp.
