Israel Requests Extradition Of Suspects In Murder Of Late Minister

Justice Ministry Legal Aid Head Jean Claude Niddam, acting according
to a directive issued by Attorney-General Elyakim Rubinstein, today
(Sunday), January 6, 2002, formally requested that the Palestinian
Authority turn over to Israel the suspects in the murder of the
late Minister Rechavam Ze'evy in accordance with the agreements
between Israel and the PA. Arrest warrants have been issued in Israel
for the suspects, Hamdi Koraan, 27 years old from Ramallah, and
Bassel Assmar, 25 years old from Beit Rima.
